Scholarship Application

This scholarship training opportunity is designed to equip Christians who desire to serve their local church through the ministry of hospitality and resurrection hope.

A limited number of scholarships are available through the Death & Resurrection Training Program in partnership with the National Christian Foundation (NCF) scholarship grants are awarded to participating churches to support the formation of a Death & Resurrection Doula and establishing his or her end-of-life care ministry within a local congregation.

By submitting this application, you understand that this scholarship is more than financial assistance. It is a commitment to Christian end-of-life doula formation, collaboration with your local church, and the development of a ministry of Christian hospitality to those facing serious illness, dying, death, and grief. 

Participation Requirements:

1. Professional or Volunteer (Inclusive only) Enrollment

2. In addition to completing the self-paced curriculum, applicants agree to attend the Oct. 9 & 10 virtual training & engage regularly in our monthly support opportunities for at least 1-year. Pastors will be invited to engage periodically providing encouragement, theological reflection, and support throughout your end-of-life doula training and formation.

3. NCF grants must be received by a church (or other non-profit organization).

4. The training cost may be paid by the enrollee or the church. NCF grants provide scholarship through tuition reimbursement.

Volunteer Training: $500 | Grant: $250

Professional Training: $1660 | Grant: $760

Payment plans are available.  Grants will be issued following payment initiation.
